Living the Tanjong Life

“Living the Tanjong Life” is a tribute to the late Azmi Hussin — a beloved cartoonist and storyteller who spoke through ink. With humour, heart, and a keen eye for detail, Azmi’s Tanjong Life series captured the everyday spirit of Penang and the people who call it home.

This exhibition brings together memorable works from the series, offering a warm, nostalgic glimpse into Azmi’s artistic world—from island life to national quirks. Accompanying the exhibition is a work-in-progress documentary that gently traces his creative journey, reflecting on his wit, struggles, and enduring love for his craft.
