Terang: Forum Discussion

This panel discussion brings together festival directors and projection mapping practitioners from across the globe. Speakers include Michiyuki Ishita (Japan), Chen Yi (China), Qazim Karim (Singapore), Laura Ramirez (Colombia), Isaiah Cacnio (Philippines), and Machineast (Malaysia). The forum will explore the current and future landscape of projection mapping and light art in the region.

Programme Details

As part of the “TERANG 2025 Projection Mapping Competition & Showcase”, held in conjunction with George Town Festival, we’re excited to present two special public programmes open to all:

1. Artist Sharing Session with Michiyuki Ishita
Join us for an insightful session with Michiyuki Ishita, Festival Director of the internationally renowned “1 Minute Projection Mapping Competition” in Japan. He will share his experience curating one of the world’s leading projection mapping competitions and his journey in the field of immersive media.

2. Forum Discussion with TERANG Judges
This panel discussion brings together festival directors and projection mapping practitioners from across the globe. Speakers include Michiyuki Ishita (Japan), Chen Yi (China), Qazim Karim (Singapore), Laura Ramirez (Colombia), Isaiah Cacnio (Philippines), and Machineast (Malaysia). The forum will explore the current and future landscape of projection mapping and light art in the region.

Both sessions will be held at the UAB Building Info Hall, each running for approximately 1.5 hours. Free admission but pre-registration is required.
