Synopsis
In the early 15th century, the ambassador of Malacca, Tun Perpatih Putih, asked the Ming Emperor Yongle to wed his daughter to the Sultan of Malacca, Sultan Mansur Syah. Emperor Yongle was furious but eunuch Li had an idea – he suggested to assign the daughter of Liu Dibao (one of his ministers), Liu Jinying, as his daughter and a princess and send her to Malacca as a bride for Sultan Mansur Shah, instead. Liu Jinying arrived in Malacca just in time to witness the arrogant Prince of Majapahit challenging the authority of the Sultan. Seeing this situation, Liu Jinying, who was extremely intelligent, came forward and made a wise and famous statement that greatly frustrated the arrogant Prince Majapahit and defended the Sultan. Liu Jinying was then named as Puteri Hang Li Po by Sultan Mansur Syah.
