The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our lives, and it’s been particularly challenging for individuals living with disabilities. The sudden change in routine can be startling for people with autism spectrum disorder. The visually impaired people struggle to maintain a physically-distanced space without being able to see it. Staying at home for people with cerebral palsy is a challenge as they require regular face-to-face therapies to manage their chronic pain.
GEORGE TOWN – The Penang government has called on the corporate sector and philanthropists to donate to the arts and culture sector, which has been left crippled by the Covid-19 pandemic.
AS part of the upcoming George Town Festival (GTF) 2021, an ‘AR/UTISTIC Diaries on the Spectrum’ art exhibition, showcasing art pieces created before and during Covid-19 pandemic by an artist living with autism, will be held at Ming Fine Art Gallery in St Jo’s Gurney Paragon Mall, from July 9 to July 18 this year.
