Product designer and woodworker Arthur Lamon created Poocher to shine light on the poaching issues with the endangered Malaysian tiger. Measures are being taken, but the many newspaper articles show that the authorities can’t catch up with the poachers.
Designed as a playful twist on the small wood kits Lamon used to build as a child, Poocher is part of a larger series intended to invoke nostalgia with a touch of eccentricity.
Arthur Lamon’s everyday work focuses on designing and building quirky decoration items and distinct furniture pieces. The clean lines of his Western-inspired designs highlight the beauty of the reclaimed local wood in his work.
